Is a good one. The give good advice, and everything I've heard about them has been positive. I've never bought fish online, myself.

shipping charges suck! Plus thier prices aren't exactly "low" I'd try dealing with your lfs if you have a special order of some sort.

Look for stores that are privately owned and not part of a chain. They're the ones most likely to order fish for you. The yellow pages are great. I was very surprized at how many fish stores are nearby. Course, the bigger the town you live in, the better chance you have of finding a good store. If you can't find any privately owned fish stores, try Petland... they've offered to order fish for me a few times.

Good luck!

our petco isn't horrible actually... I've bought a number of fish from there. They aren't horribly uninformed! I have yet to lose a fish from there that was freshwater, saltwater I have fairly good success with too. But I only go there when my LFS doesn't have it, or if its outragously expensive.

the only good thing about them is the 2 week return dead or alive exchange.
