Default Giant danios

I just got 7 giant danios the other day ranging in size from 1" to 3".
could any of you help and tell me what kind of water parameters they need.
And how hard are they to breed and tell the sexes apart.
Thanks any help on this would be great.
Nathan

You should of really researched their needs before going out and getting them.
They come from the South East Asia Back Waters, so need a pH of around 6-7. Around 6 to breed. They need lots of cover for breeding in the form of java moss etc. I'm sure you have a mix of males and females.

If you have a big enough tank with enough hiding places, pH of around 7, you can keep virtually any fish together as long as all the fish are around the same size and these two groups of fish are avioded:
Serrasalmus
Tetradon
(figure eights and dwarfs are the
exception).

I keep a successful community of fish in a 4 foot tank including the following families:
Cichlids, tetras, loaches, gouramis, barbs, rainbows, livebearers, killiefish, catfish, puffers.

One of the stripes, at the base of the tail, is straight in one sex and crooked in the other. Off the top my head I can't remember which is which, but I think the male has the straight line.

I know I am very impulsive when it comes to fish.
Actaully I got these fish for free the former owner was going to flush all his fish but his wife stopped him and was giving them away to people who would care for them unlike her husband.
