Default FW Goby/Blenny ?

I was at my LFS today, and noticed a freshwater goby (it could have been a blenny, I cant enitrely remember) ..are these common? This is the first time i've come across this fish, and i'd like to know a bit more about them... how big they get, temperament, etc. I visited my first LFS, and noticed them there, and drove over to the other LFS, and they had them aswell... I live in Nevada, maybe it's just a rarity here, but I also couldn't find anything about them on live aquaria and started searching on google, I mostly get sw info..... any information would be awesome...

It wasnt a bumble bee goby, it looked EXACTLY like a sw goby... if I can get the exact name of it i'll let you all know, i'll possibly swing by there again tomorrow. I visit A LOT of fish stores and very often, and i've never seen anything like it, I did a search for it aswell, and nothing came up that really resembled it as a freshwater fish.

not really.. I kind of wish I could just bring my digital into the fish store and snap a picture :X haha, i'll definitely go back tomorrow and get the actual name for it. I would love to buy one, but I'd need to know more about it before I jump into it. I just dont want to wait too long for them to be gone..

I know they weren't salt water because they were in a tank with freshwater fish. goodness, i'm ridiculously excited.. haha.

It's a Knight Goby, are these common?? I went ahead and got one, I trust my lfs guy.. he's great, and he said it should do great in either of my tanks, he says they start to pick on other fish if they're in larger groups

Knight Gobies and Sleeper Gobies are pretty common in my area, but I was under the impression that both do best in brackish systems. I don't have any experience with either of these species, though, so someone else can probably give a positive answer on that. They are really neat looking fish!

Well I did a little research and only found 2 pages with info on them, they are a brackish fish and do okay with 1 tablespoons of salt per 1 gallons maybe? Gosh I can't remember now. ****My LFS guy said he'd do well in my tank, that he shouldn't bother any of the others... he's really active and seems to enjoy my tank.. swimming around a lot and checkin everything out.

I read that if in pairs they will be aggressive, and will claim territories. I tried to get a picture of him but he doesnt like the flash much, hes in the little flower pot.. he's a GORGEOUS fish!

this came from aquariumstuffer
