Default bamboo shrimp

i read online that bamboo shrimp are are not truly happy unless they are a bright red color, and when they resemble bamboo they are stressed. What should i do to make mine more comfortable, it prefers an acitic to alkaline water..but wont that kill the rest of my fish?

I haven't heard that, either. I've never seen a red bamboo shrimp - as they get older, they get a solid brownish-red colour... But that's just age. What are your current tank params? It is true that they may not breed in alkaline water, but they should be fine.
