Here's what I am thinking to fix up my fish problem in my tank, give me suggestions and advice as you see fit:
28gallon 3 platy's 6-7 inch pleco (Raised him from 2 inches, he'll be hard to give up) 4 neons (I need 4 more Im thinking for a nice school) 2 lamp eyed tetras (2 more sound decent, I mean they get pretty large) 4 feeder guppies 2 comet goldfish Here's the deal with the goldfish and the guppies. The comets are too big to feed to my turtle, so I should take em' back to the store? I feel bad for them The guppies also turtle food, just didn't want to introduce them into the tank, she's been over eating lately. I COULD put them in my tank with my dwarf puffers, NO they don't attack them I have two guppies in that tank already the DP's ignore them completely. How do I know? The tank is right next to me. I think when I get things straightened out with the fish that need to be in a school I'll probably be pretty close to stocked. |

you need to get rid of the pleco im sorry to say....he will grow well over a foot so he will soon outgrow that tank....you either need to give him up or get a bigger tank...sorry

Your best bet would be to get rid of the goldfish and the pleco, then round out your schools. The goldfish need cooler water, the pleco will get to big (actually, I think the goldfish would get to big too, regardless of water temp.)Then your tank would be all set

*Sigh* Suckles(thepleco) is the best fish I ever had, I trained him to be hand fed and he lets me rub his belly when he surfaces upside down, too adorable. If I dont get a bigger tank by the end of the summer I'll gladly take your advice on gettin rid of him because he's strapped for swimming space as it is.

The funny thing is you answered your own questions. You seem to know what isn't suitable for your tank and are well on your way. The only advice I could add is remove the lampeye tetras and get more neons. You won't regret the color
