white green or brown tint cloudy?

White tint means it isn't finished cycling or is going through a miniture cycle. Should clear up within a few weeks... if you have fish in the tank it may take longer because of the water changes you must do to keep them alive during the cycle.

Green tint means too many nutrients in the tank, this can be caused by over stocking, too much light, overfeeding, or just the changing of the season. Figure out which one is happening in your tank by playing with the lights, doing some water changes, or cutting back on feeding.

Brown tint means your drift wood is leaching tannins... nothing to worry about but probably something you are going to have to live with.

My water in my 29 gallon was consistantly cloudy until yesterday. It had a green tint to it when I did water changes. I used Acurel F and it was clear within hours... it's gorgeous now! It was about $5 for a bottle that will last me a long time. I think my tank gets too much light from a front window. I hope your water clears soon.

I got it at my privately owned lfs. The shopowner said he has just now started to be able to get it again. He went a while and couldn't find it. I noticed that it is made in England. Anyway, I've never seen it in the chain stores. The 2 products I've gotten from those places haven't done squat. I was half expecting this to be the same way, but it worked wonders! I definitely suggest this especially if the tank might be getting too much light or you've fought it and fought it with water changes. So, far so good in my experience.
