so one of my barbs fins have been completely nipped off by the more dominant one so now im curious on how long before his fins will grow back? This is presuming fins do grow back right?

The clear part of fins grow back. If the base of the tail is injured, sometimes the fin does not grow back, but if the injury is that severe, the fish often dies of infection.

omg pevine! Tiger Barbs rule! IMO of course! :P As long as it isn't all the way to the base of the fish's fin it should grow back. I had a minor problem but once they got the whole dominance thing settled they are completely peaceful now. Don't take him out or the problem will happen again as soon as it heals and you put him back in, instead provide lots of cover for him to seek shelter in when he needs to.
