Default Melafix Problems

Hi, i ahve been trying to aid 3 guppies that have fin rot. Ive been adding 1 teasoon per 10gallons(what it recemends). i have been doing this for 2 weeks, and only small improvements have shown. Is there something im missing on this?

What have you been using to help with the finrot? You didn't mention the product.

I think the subject line sumed it up by saying Melafix Problems. Undortunetly I have no experience with the product or treating fin rot.

1. Are you sure its finrot and not a fish nipping at their tails?
2. Are you keeping up with your waterchanges? Waterchanges alone will reverse the affects of finrot. Melafix just speeds up the process, not fix it. (Putting gas in a car with no engine isn't going to make it run

In my main 30g, i do weekly changes of about 25% and i know its not nipping because just guppies get get rot in my tank and i never see any quarelling or anything. So should i be doing water changes in the hospital tank more oftern?

Yes. ****Clean water is key. ****I change my QT tankwater every 3 days (33%).
You have not mentioned what your tank parameters are. NH3, NO2, NO3.
