Angelfish Trio
I've got three angelfish who have grouped together to spawn. Only one has laid eggs. I know which one is a male, but I'm not sure what the third one is... what do you think, would the third one be male or female?

I tried but I can't tell.
I meant more along the lines, in your experience, if 3 team up together, is it 2.1 or 1.2? Sometimes these are facts are obvious (i.e., if two angelfish are spawning, and one of them is laying eggs, is the other a male?) lol
I wasn't expecting anyone to sex my angel telephathically or anything

Oh haha! Your question came off that way to me! I'm just going to guess 1 male 2 females just so there isnt competition. Just a guess though because other fish are like that. (platys Etc. Etc.)

I'm thinking female as well... I don't get the point of two males and one female. But I've seen females have some vicious fights sometimes, so I wasn't sure.

Ive seen 1 female going between two males (doh what do I do!) before. The more dominant male was attempting to steal her from her former mate.

Well, it's not polygamy... one isn't going from one to the other. They're all together, they're all fanning the eggs and they're all tolerating each other in their corner.

However, if you have two and one is laying eggs, the other may not be male, and may be laying eggs as well.
