I have two clown loachs and I swear to god I think one of them is retarded. At first when he was in the 65 gl tank at least three times a week he would get himself caught in the mat of fake grass I have sitting on top of a cave, I mean really freaking stuck like I would have to take the grass out and pull him out.
So now I move him to the 55 thinking he should fine in there since there is no grass. Well I was wrong, he got himself stuck in little opening in the huge chunk of drift wood. I know your thinking he was fine and I am just making this up but no he had himself so logged in there I had to take the wood out and break a chunk away so that he could get himself turned back around and swim out. Anyone else have a fish like this before? |

My bala's have been doing the same thing since I moved them into their own 55. Here I thought they would be happy to have all this room to swim but no instead they spend the entire day chasing thier image up and down the side of tank.

I'm with Lexus. If people can be born retarded (sorry to all you PC'ers, mentally challenged) why not fish? I think we all have at least one friend with a dog that "not quite up to par." I think animal retardedness runs rampant in nature, we just don't know what to look for (and natural selection probably does a good job of getting rid of them anyways).
