Default Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my guppy fry?

Below is a picture of one of my guppy fry (sorry couldn't tell you how old, they drop so often I have all age groups together) I noticed her recently because she has a curve in her tail vein, I think it is, and was wondering if anyone has seen this before in guppys or not, what it is and will she be ok? Like will she live and breed etc?

Sorry the picture isn't great, she won't stay still long enough to take a decent one and flops around too much out of the water!

Thanks in advance for any replies

thanks, I'm thinking she might have been one of the ones I accidentally pinched with the net early on. When I clean out the fry tank I use a large gauge tube and a lot of them get sucked into the siphon bucket and I then have to scoop them out, in the early days (before I got my larger tight weave net) I used to accidentally pinch them between the bucket side and the net rim. MAybe i pinched her one day and it curved her spine!eek!

I hope she'll be ok. She doens't have any problems swimming or eating or anything and it doens't seem any of her brothers of sisters pick on her. I'm just worried that I'll have a hard time selling her and maybe the males will discriminate against her and not want to breed with her. Although I have heard that male guppies are pretty randy and will try and 'hit' anything!

Thanks for the reply Scuba Kid

I wouldn't beat yourself up about it. It's not that uncommon to occasionally have a guppy fry born with bent spine (if that is what it is). With the guppy breeders breeding for certain strains, this would be a cull. Since it could be a birth defect, you probably don't want her breeding.

True, I just can't bring myself to cull her though. Especially since at this size it isn't an easy matter of feeding her to a bigger fish, I don't have any that would eat her at present. I usually just cull any guppy fry dropped these days by feeding them to my betta fry. They love them!
I might see if I can give her away. I'm sure there is some kind hearted person out there that would love her.
