Question A little problem here with my platies... need your opinion...

Two platies and 5 small female bettas in a ten gallon tank would be overstocked, right? I'm trying to catch the platies to put them in the 29 gal. with the others but the vegetation is too dense and they're too fast. If somehow it wasn't overstocked I would want them to still be in there but what if they get lonely...? I have six in the 29. What should I do...?

I think that stocking would be fine. Do you know the sexes of the Platies? If you have a m/f pair, then it could eventually become overstocked, assuming some fry make it. Right now though, i think its fine.

I agree with JustOneMore... although, in the past my female Betta's have not got along too well... one of them was a little more aggressive than the others....

But i guess it all depends on the individual temperament of the Betta's.

Good Luck!

I got them out. I didn't really want them in there. Better with the six others I have

In my experience female bettas are ok together... I have dense vegetation.
