Default My adventure today fish shopping.

I went to 2 Walmarts, Petco, 2 Pet stores and True Value
After all that I spotted some lovely fish.

The Walmart where I go to college was crappy as usual (you couldnt see in the tanks there was soo much algae)

My Walmart was clean (hehe cause I do it) but none of the fish I ordered came in **** Go figure, I order something and they send the complete opposite.

The Pet store in my college town, didnt even ask if I needed help and there wasnt prices on stuff and the prices I did see pissed me off. There was a 10G so called "saltwater setup" with sand on the bottom for $99!!!! They had a princess bricardi but no price and they werent helping me so I left. I saw my first odessa barb at this shop.

At the local pet store (Tropics) I found some princess bicardis that I wanted they were $13.99 on sale for $8.99. They didnt look really white though and they were being kept with oscars. The sign said medium but they looked full grown. I also spotted some Kribs, they were near full grown and gorgeous but seemed to have a mouth fungus... they were $8.99 a piece.
A girl brought in a foot long Siamese Tiger Fish! **** It was in a 55g at her house and brought it in and they must have put it in a 20 long **** with oscars and some others.
There were Banded Hifin Sharks and Black Ghost Knife fish, and Gars and some unusual Leopard Ctenopoma (which are imported). Lots of unusual fish. ****The discus were neon blue and 47.99 a piece so I said no to that. Didnt really look at the SW or others cause I was on a time limit. I have not been in there for awhile and with all my knowlegde from FF it was amazing to see what I knew and what I recognized.

At True Value I was suprised to find a new corydora, a Melini for $4.49. They had their usual Botias and loaches. And of course the coveted chocolate pleco. New to see were Gold long finned white clouds, African Butterfly fish! very long veiltailed Angels, Emperor Tetras, Red & Blue Congo Tetras, and to my surprise 3 Kribs for only $3.99 a piece. They also had an Albino African Clawed Frog for $9.99. I love that place, they love me hehe (want me to work there too).
Their small neons are .79 a piece or $1.49 for larger. And Tiger Barbs are .99! Its awesome and they always have deals to encourage buying groups/pairs/trios of certain fish that prefer that. They will special order what you want too and not rip you off!

I got 6 small neons for $3.99 Then I got the 3 Kribs. Oh and some nice new plants too.
The 6 neons are not expected to live cause the tank isnt really cycled but so far they have been really good. They tend to get better neons than us, ie. ones that actually live. They look pretty sweet with red gravel. They are in the 29G with the 3 Kribs. I will post pics on another post.

Wow thanks!
I put the kribs in the 29G so I think I'll go the Krib way... since they are cheap and beautiful!

That flyfish guy has some gorgeous fish, WOW! I would love some peacocks and those wild catfish but as my 55 is community I better stick with the smaller guys...
