I'm watching you
|
when i was in the riviara maya/cancun, i saw millions of mollies. i also saw quite a few yucatan/mayan cichlids. that's all i saw that i could ID. i spent most of my time snorkaling. i'm not sure where you are going to be but it would be helpful to know the location.

Mexico is a big place, but most of the most interesting fish are in the southern region.
Lots of livebearers in mexico, many of the ovovivaparous type you're used to like mollies and platies and swordtails, but also the vivaparous type, namely, the goodeids. I should point out that a huge number of Mexico's fishes are highly endangered, and a staggering number of them have already gone extinct over just the past 20 years. Be careful where you go and what you collect. Cichlids are also well represented, and there's even some tetras, and catfish, and, well, all sorts of stuff. Why are you moving to Mexico, anyway? |

We are moving to Mexico due to some problems. If those problems get fixed we will be staying if not we are moving. Also college is closer to my families home than here. One college is only 30 minutes from my grandmothers house.
