Beware of the Sand People
|
Ok, my 29 gallon contains 8 platies, 7 corydoras, 1 paradise gourami, 1 female betta, and two tetras that just won't die. I am wanting to convert it into a brackish tank. I have three other tanks: A 10g, 5g and 2.5g. What fish can I move into which tanks and which fish should I give away if I do decide to convert? My 10g contains snails and a male betta, my 5g has a pair of bettas (which i could move into the 2.5) and a 2.5 with nothing.
Also, if any of these fish will do well in Brackish, I could just keep them in the 29 gal... just tell me |

I would split up the pair of bettas and put the male in th 2.5 and the other male in the 5g and the 2 females plus the platies in the 10g. I would give away the corys unless they are a small species and if you kept them you would be heavely stocked. Give away tetras to somone who allready has a school and the gourami.

Why are you converting the tank to brackish? The only fish that I think would live in brackish are the Platies and even they aren't full brackish fish I don't think. They can tolerate some salt in their water, but I'm not sure that they are brackish.
I think you should just save up and start another tank for brackish fish.
