Default adding some color to my tank!

here's a pic of my tank.

<img src="http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/juliesgotagun/tank.jpg">

it's a 15 gallon, 2ft x 1ft x 1ft. stocked with 5 skirt tetras, and 3 otos. however, all of these fish are grey, black, and white. are there any fish i could toss in to add some real COLOR to the tank? not that i have anything against monochromatic fish, they're quite pretty, but i want a SMALL fish that will stay small, and will add some bright colors. ember tetras maybe? i'd be willing to order online if need be, though i have access to several stores in the area. [westchester county, NY]

can i get a recommendation of some kind of small colorful fish?

Th:

That tank is very, very nice!!

You did not indicate and I cannot ascertain from the photograph of your tank if your "skirt tetras" are black skirt or white skirt.

If black skirt then 5 Cardinal Tetras might look nice.

If white skirt then 5 Serpae Tetras might look nice.

they're mixed, 3 black, and 2 white. they school together, though.

serpaes just seem like they'd be a bit too large, i want something pretty smallish.

neon tetras will add color to your tank as will male fancy guppies. which stay pretty small.

In terms of small, colorful fish, I don't think you can beat the cardinal tetra.

Neons would be a smaller cardinal. I have to give a vote for male guppies (females will give birth and your population will run out of control)

Cardinals I'm told are hardier then neons (I've never been able to keep neons very long) and in my opinion are prettier. If you go with the male guppies keep an eye on the tetras. Although they are peacful mine like to nip sometimes but ususally just at each other.

Have you given any thought to maybe adding some Plattys? Maybe a couple of swordtails there are many different color varieties out there.
