my rams had eggs 4 days ago and i was just wondering how long it takes them to hatch? also about how often do they spawn? the first time they spawned they ate the eggs. this time i took the rock out that they laid they on and put it in my bare bottom 2.5 gallon. if they have any more i am just going to leave them though. the only things in the 2.5 gallon tank are 5 very small(less than 1 week old) guppy fry. can they stay or do they need to move? just wondering. thanks for your imput!

question1: up to 60 hours(sorry i dont know how much they spawn
question2:i dont think you will be needing to move any of the fry as long as they dont start to get to big or start to fight in their.

Even baby guppies will eat live food if it fits in their mouths. If the ram babies would, then consider a "breeder net" for the guppies or a 1 gallon jar for the ram eggs.

emc is correct if it fits its food. How is your tank setup for the rams? Are you using a rough flat rock are something like river slate? Is your 10 gallon bare bottom, sand, or rocks? I personally would have left the rock in there, rams are pretty good parents, I havent lost a spawn yet when I let the parents take care of them, but then again not all rams are the same.

they ate the first one. i wasn't going to take this one out but i did. it is more like river slate. is there something that works better? if they spawn are the eggs always fertile? also do they spawn even if they are not a breeding pair? the 10 gallon that the adults are in has some larger(pea sized) gravle, several pieces of slate, 4 fake plants and a good size piece of maylasian wood in the middle. the seem to love the setup. wow all of theas questions are making it sound like i don't know anything about the breed! sorry guys i just don't know much on breeding them. i am used to guppys which are very easy. lol i will try to get a pic of the tank setup if i can.
