Default missing horsefaced loach

just cleaned the tank. Loach now missing. Is too big to suck up in the gravel cleaner. Did not see or feel anything jump out of the tank as I was cleaning. Have a lot of hair algae and was removing a lot by hand.
Wonder where he is? I searched around the tank. He is nowhere to be seen.

Looked in the filter? He could have jumped in there possibly?
Hiding in the substrate?

First, no matter what I "thought" may have happened I would search everywhere outside the tank thoroughly. If he is not outside the tank then I would search filter. Then I would just wait him out, if he is in the tank, he is safe. Eventually he will show himself

yup he finally showed up about 5 hours later. I guess he was in the gravel. That is the second time the bum has done that to me! I remove the decorations, look in the filter. Comb the floors and walls with a lamp, pat on the floor with my hands.
I am surprised he can hide that well as the gravel is only about 1/2 inch deep.
Anyway he is safe and sound.
