Default Mixing tetra colors

One of my neon tetras decided to take a jump out of my aquarium the one night I forgot to cover it completely I currently have 5 left in a 10 gallon along with a sunset gourami. I was wondering if there would be aggression issues if I were to go with 2 tetras of a different kind? Maybe blacklight tetras or something similar? Just trying to "spice up" the tiny shoal I have right now.

Probably get a bigger tank first.

Okay ... let's say tank size isn't such an issue, generally speaking, do tetras mix well with other colors?

I have a mixture of tetras. One is a blue neon, two are some other kind of neon, and two are black neons. They all get along fine and school together. The folks at my LFS (NOT PETSMART ETC!!!) said that as long as they're of similar size (like other small neons), with similar markings, they'll find eachother and hang out.
The Bone Busters are a tight crew in my tank. I may be an exception, however my mixing breeds has been successful. Just make sure that they're of similar size (Won't get bigger than 1-2"), and have similar markings (color doesn't really seem to matter).

Good luck, Fishbone!
*Diggin' the name, btw*
