Pangassius catfish, AKA iridescent sharks. They can reach a size of over three feet. I hope for your and the fish's sake that you didn't buy them.

12 inches is not by any means an adult iridescent shark. Please don't spread misinformation.

Where did you get 12 inches from? These things get 3-4 feet or more. Just look for some pictures of them on the internet....their bigger than the people that catch them.

Stop giving out bad information... now.

These catfish come from the far east and the Mekong Basin. They are raised as a food fish in that area, and grow over 3-4 ft and over 100 lbs.

Generally people who have gigantic tanks wont need to ask

But I would take them back if you can.

... they should still be able to grow to that size in a tank... The problem is stunting, merely saying they don't grow as large in a tank is a misnomer. Its due to improper care.. There is a difference.

sorry bout that just everywhere i look it says 12 inches on that fish. i was wrong on that. so you are saying that a fish should get the same size no matter if it in the wild or not. i thought that size differed in tanks. guess i learned something new. thats wht i joined this forum though

They are labeled at 12 inches for sales, they commonly only grow to that size before they die from stunting issues.
