Looks interesting. One thing though, the license plate isn't a good idea. It could rust and/or leach toxins into the water.

The pleco will definitely get bigger. Think 2+ft long. He will eventually need a much bigger tank.

Glad the tank is doing good. I agree with Julie about the license plate.

I don't see a broken bottle. I see a vase planted at a cool angle. Overall I think we have the beginnings of an excellent theme tank here! Nice work Aida and Jake.

I noticed that the tank is a bit larger than the table that you have it on. It sticks over the edge - looks like about 1 to 1 1/2 inches on each size. That's probably not a good idea. You need to evenly distribute the weight of tank that big.

Look in the seventh picture on the right side of the tank. Green broken glass bottle...not good.

It really just looks like you took outrageously colored gravel and threw in some random junk. Not my personal preference...I think natural tanks look much nicer.

And I agree with Kristin. The pleco doesn't really belong in there.

Please don't take offence, but we here critique tanks here, So my two cents.....the stand should be big enough for the tank to fit on. Having the edges hang over the end of the stand is not good. I know it doesn't leak now, but in time, it might, due to the stresses and lack of support. I'm no fan of flourescent gravel, license plates and vases. I'd rather see real plants, wood, and rocks for a more natural habitat look, But that's just me. I agree, a common pleco will soon outgrow the tank and will also add alot of stress to the bioload on the tank, as they excrete alot of feces. What I did like is the fact that it is a clean and healthy looking tank. Keep up the good work.

Oh I didn't even see it Ya deff get that out could cut a fish. or your self and believe me you dont want your blood in a tank.if you want that in there at least try and make it fish friendly and get a rubber tube and put it on the broken part of the bottle. At least do that

Broken glass bottle: Aside from rubber around the edges or removing it the other option would be to sand paper down the edges. Ever seen glass that has been rolling around in the ocean sand for a while? Its awesome and the edges are no longer sharp enough to cut. That might be hard to accomplish, but with enough time and energy you could sand it down and it would go with that decor really well.

I really love your blue vase. For not so natural decor, that was a really nice choice.

If you put black gravel in that tank, it would be awesome IMHO.

License plate: interesting concept, incredibly bad idea.

Due to the shallow width of the tank an idea for a background might be furry fabric. I have a piece of blue furry fabric on the back of my 20 ga and it looks like the fish can swim right into it. It makes the tank look deeper than it really is. If you want to see a picture just PM me and I will send you a pic If I had it to do over I would choose black rather than the somewhat electric blue I chose. I am considering buying black for my 100 gallon, which currently has no background at all.

That license plate is oxidizing. The moment that you expose low-grade metals to moisture they begin to oxidize (rust) and release some of their chemical components. License plates are made from very very low grade recycled steel. Have you ever seen a scrap yard? Big rusty muddy plot of land covered in dripping oil, antifreeze, whatever...Nothing there that you would want to put in your tank, IMO.
