Hey first time posting here, have 2 videos of a very small invert which eats at the toes of my devloping tadpoles. It was caught with the soil sample along with some native daphnia, cyclops, and tadpoles from a friends land. I jsut cant find what it is, closest things to it are glochidia, but i really doubt that it is, for one it doesnt look the same, and 2 the area is consisting of lentic pond communities.
And help would be wonderful! http://www.youtube.com/qazbana Edit: Might not be truly parasitic as they did not seem to btoher the tadpoles untill thier legs and feet developed. And have been reproducing readily. (from 1-2 to 40+) Last edited by Goombarooli; 06-26-2008 at 10:40 AM. |
