Default Cloudy Fry Tank

I have just completed upgrading my fry tank. I went to a 20L that I got on sale yesterday at the LFS. They decided that since so many people were asking about the Petco $1 per gallon sale (not happening in July, no word on August) that they would have their own.

Hopefully this will work out a little better until they are big enough for me to trade.

I appreciate the info Chris.

My local manager was still saying July two weeks ago.

Loha: if I remember correctly, the $1 per gallon sale only goes up to 55s.

They're not running it anyway, at least not in June or July. The guy showed me the promotional plan from their HQ office (he probably shouldn't have done that, btw). Their prices are sky high on everything too.

That's why no one likes Petco :P

You should check with your local Petco or go by there or something. The Petco here didn't have the same sale week as others last year, so even if the one near COM isn't having it (or wasn't) doesn't mean yours isn't.

That is correct for the last sale in San Angelo.

Me, having the advantage (or disadvantage) of working for Petco, I too am keeping close tabs on the yearly dollar a gallon sale. They run the sale by region not nationally. So check with your local. Even though the locales haven't been given a definite week yet. They have an approximate. Our area is approx first part of Aug. (maybe)

Luckily, I don't have any Petcos for a good 100 miles in any direction. I sure could use a mess of 40 breeders, though. 20 longs would do, too.

Nice thread, but I am really curious- Why is it called Cloudy fry tank when there is no information or questions about a cloudy fry tank? It's probably just me thinking that is a tad odd.

I wish I had more room for tanks I would love a 20 long!

Before the reset I had started a thread of the same name about my 10 gallon fry tank that was disastrously cloudy due to overcrowding. I have upgraded to a 20L and so far so good.
