Default Ripped fins, how to help them heal?

Looking for advice. Got some new Angelfish, which came with ripped fins. Don't see any signs of fin rot.

Other than keeping the tank clean and watching for signs of fin rot, is there anything I can to do help speed up the healing process?

Melafix does work pretty well. It takes some time to reproduce the fins though. I think the bottle says treat for 5 days or something..

I like to use Melafix & Pimafix together, along with a bit of salt. That covers all the major bases.

I would also suggest that you use some Stress Coat. That product has been around for years and it is generally beneficial to the fish, if not specifically for helping to repair fins. It helps the fish develop a slime coat which is good for their fins and helps them develop impressive colors. It is aloe vera based and it's pretty cheap too.

I second on the melafix as well.

I'll hit the store today. I hope these poor little guys relax soon...one died from the stress. The others seem healthy, but still in hiding, and still scared.

Again, I thank you for the advice. You folks are always great
