Default *sigh*

Two more angels died. *sighs*

Not really a question, just a statement.

WTB local angelfish supplier! Shipping is so freaking hard on those poor guys.

Yep, from Alaska. One of our LFS gets angels from a town that's a 3 hour drive from where I live, but that only happens every 4 or 5 months.

Gold severum are equally as hard to come by. Sad.

Petco ships angelfish up from the Lower 48, so I though I'd give that a try. So far the survival rate hasn't been great. Which is exactly why they're the ONLY ones who will ship them up from out of state.

Still have 2 survivors. One isn't looking so hot, but might make it. The other one looks fantastic, but then, so did the 2 that passed today....

Water's fine, they just can't handle the shipping.

The angels won't succesfully ship up to Alaska. Most of them won't survive.

Ask and ye shall find, though! Found a post on my local craigslist from a lady with young angelfish in my area. Wish me luck!

If the angels don't pan out, my tank will be free for severum. Think I'm going to wait and see what this lady says. Of course, I'm also thinking about buying another tank for severum We'll see. I have exactly the place for another tank...a 37 gallon would fit perfectly.

Hmm, rambled a wee bit. I'll keep you up to date.

And now, for something completely different: Can't get chat to load. Will keep fiddling.

Chats down as a result of the forum reset. I suppose they are still working on it.

Why not consider getting as many angels as you can and try and breed them?

That's exactly what I'm hoping to do. However, before I can breed them, I have to find some

Hey, Angel, I have a pair of angels you can have. They have laid eggs before, but they got eaten. I'm in Palmer. Just say the word, and I'll get back to you on how we could make arrangements to get them to you.

The local breeder fell through, had scheduled to go see them this afternoon, but she ended up selling them all before that time. I'm still on the market! (And still considering yet another tank! Oi vey!)
