Fish eating fake plants

Hi,

My first post ... How is everyone ?

Anyways got a fish relate question.

I have noticed my Piranha eating the fake plants.

Is this going to cause him harm?

I figured he was doing it for veg so I have feed him some shrimp and zucchini.

Anyone had this problem?

Just need to know if I have to act fast.

Is he just picking algue off it or biteing peices off it?

i would take the plants out of the tank.if you feed them live food such as goldfish...feed the goldfish veggie flakes about 10 minutes before feeding the goldfish to the piranhas..
