Question What is this??

if anyone can tell me what kind of fish this is it would help me out a lot.
my brother works at a aquarium warehouse so he brought them home.
i just don't like not knowing lol

The commen name for these bad boys are RED EYED TETRA or LAMP EYE (Moenkhausia sanctaefilomenae)

They grow to about 7cm.

The pic is kind of fuzzy. It looks like a headlight tail light tetra. Does it have a "tail light"?

I don't see any traces of taillights.
Nice picture, by the way. Yes, a wee fuzzy, but rarely does a pic of this species really capture the red so brightly.

Yep, I posted at the same time as Knight~Ryder. I thought of the headlight taillight because I'm more familiar with them. As soon as I saw Knight's post, I was in full agreement

haha to be honest i had no idea what you meant by a tail light so i just went with K~R. but no i see they are another type of tetra. lol thank you for exposing me to them thou.
