Default i have a killer in my tank?

i went to check out the fish and i noticed that one of the sunburst platties was stuck to the filter in take tube....i turned off the filter so he would get unstuck and noticed he was missing half his head and his body was all shredded.. just an hour earlier he was hanging out on the bottom but was moving around. im not sure who the kulprit is or if he was alredy dead before they did the damage.. i would imagine it was either the serpae tetras or the bristlenose pleco? the only othr fish i have is tetras gouramis minnows and danios in a 65 gallon tank. any ideas?

he may have died naturally, and often when a fish dies, other fish will have a feast on them. Or depending how long it was in the filter, it may have just gotten shredded from water pressure

The serpae tetras were probably unmercifully aggravating the poor feller.

The bristlenose is not a very likely candidate.

If you get tired of the serpae aggravating other fish Red Phantom Tetras are nice and peaceful and IMHO are much prettier than the serpae.
