Hi elvis,

Unfortunately you won't be able to put that in your tank. Elmers glue is water soluble.

The popsicle sticks will float and the glue will disolve.

you need to find a sealant that is water proof like liquid nail or something similar. then let it sit a minimum of 48 hours. te you gonna have to weigh it down because the sticks will float. it shouldnt take alot of weight but enought to hold it down. i doubt if it dried 100% it will harm your fish but it could be risky. neer tried it myself so uncertain

I wouldn't use liquid nails. Have you seen the warning label on that thing? I would use some sealant that can be used for sealing plywood tanks and other aquarium things but I don't know what that would be. Aquarium silicone could work also, I would think.

Yes aquarium silicone would be the best choice. There are also some epoxy's that can work but I would ask someone knowledgeable about that. I know Lohachata has built wood tanks and used epoxy as a seal so he might be a good one to ask. It is a good idea, just needs to be thought through so it will last and not harm the fishies

Aquariums sealer is fine, and you can glue some little rocks to it for weight while you're at it. Then boil the whole thing.
Better yet, boil the loose sticks for several hours first to make them safe and help them sink, then put them together after letting them dry off just enough for the sealer to stick to it.

Elvis, you asked. We're only answering your question. Do you really think Elmer's glue would stay together underwater?

Guys, this is going to sound very rude but...
why do you even waste your time on this person. He obviously doesn't need or want help, he just posts the most ridiculous questions he can think of to get us to answer then goads us into arguing with him about it. It's just a childish game to him and we play right into his hand by being polite enough to try to give him honest answers.

In current US slang, "whatever" means a teen is not listening to an adult. Why don't you say what you really mean.
