Default Texas freshwater Tanks

Hi pp's,
I just moved to Plano, TX and am wondering if anyone knows how I have to treat the water if at all except for the basic conditioning for setting up a tank, ty, look forward to your response![/b]

As i understand it, much of texas water is basicly liquid rock, and after having showered there, i'd tend to agree. So unless you are into marine/african or other hard water fish you'll prolly be aquiring an RO unit or some other form of commercial water processing.

It was HARD! you'd never have known you were using soap heh, barely a bubble to be seen.

i live in McKinney, TX, which is about 15 miles north of plano, and i only treat my water with discus buffer(for soft water fish). the water here is not that hard so my betta doing good with out adding anything except water conditioner. so when breeding betta, add a piece of almond leave and i am good to go

If it is hard, a nice sized piece of bogwood may help soften it a bit.
