Default Is it safe?

Is it safe to use river rocks that you can buy at Menards? (They're for gardening/yards)

I have no idea, they were just labeled "river rocks" they also have other types cant remember the names though. I need larger gravel for my turtle tank, my turtle chews on the small gravel she has now, I dont want her accidentally swallowing a bunch of rocks ya know. And... its cheap compared to the larger stones you'd buy at petsmart, 17.99$ a bag, but at Menards these things are 2 bucks tops, and theres more in a bag.

Yeah i think it's ok to use that with just a rinse off, I would use really warm or hot water to rinse it.
It comes from a river, I believe all they do is wash it off dry it bag it n sell it.
