HI all,
Please can someone help me ID this fish!! Something VERY weird happened today. I bought a new plant to go into my coldwater goldfish tank and the shop assistant took the plant i wanted from an existing tank in the store. When i brought the plant home to my tank out popped this weird looking catfish thing who had obviously been kept alive (just) by the water in the bottom of the plant bag! I've never seen a bottom dweller of this colour before so i was wondering if he might be sick.He also looks like he's been badly attacked by the fish in the shop with his tail and top fins pretty damaged and I'm assuming he shouldn't be in with my goldfish. I would really appreciate someone's help in figuring out exactly what he is!! |

not as far as i know...i have a few and i feed them like the rest of my fish (flakes, dried plankton, dried bloodworms, pellet food, or dried baby shrimp [ i think that is what they are called]) , i just feed extra so it falls to the bottom so they can get it....they seem to like algea flakes too

Cory's don't do so well by themselves. Your flatmate should get a few more, or take him back.
