fish flakes?

what are fish flakes and what did someone mean about spending them and karma and how do you get that little picture below your name?

That little pic is called an Avatar

To change yours click on User Control Panel in the very top right(ish) then Profile settings on the left and then scroll almost to the bottom of that page. You should see what you need there and be ok.

Agreed, along with a message on joining that directs people to the FAQ and the search function for any queries.

we should have a sticky... I find it much easier though if the sticky is just one person explaining it all, not 50 different posts to scroll through. So maybe someone should make a combined post of what everyone has said here into one post and then have it a sticky

I agree! I was guilty of starting one of the threads...and I did look in FAQs first.
