Now, do you think the syno thinks that the pleco's just a bigger version of him, or what? I had the pleco for about three weeks before adding the syno, and the syno swam around a bit, and the immediately stuck to the pleco.

Just keep a eye on them. The syno could be eating the slime coat off the pleco. (not a good thing)

If he attaches himself to the pleco that is probably a good indication. Keep a eye on the body of the pleco and if you see any signs of wounds I would quickly seperat the two into seperate tanks.

oh dear. and i thought this was just cute behavior...
well, the snyo always seem to be "attached" to the pleco's head area, but not really by mouth, more like lying on top of him. And they've been together for about a month and a half now, but the pleco seems fine and he has no wounds. |
