They have one set up in a store here that sells them. I wouldn't bother they dont add that much to a tank.

I recently bought some "globes" like that off ebay. They are ok i have 2 on my 55 gallon tank and probablly need 1 more. they are 8 LED Globe Moonlight.(8 led's on each globe) 90,000 mcd each Globe i don't even know what that means but hey if it helps? I like the way they look at night but even though they say it doesn't effect the fish i feel it kinda bothers them and keeps them awake. i am glad i bought them but i thought they were going to look better

I have four 3/4watt LEDs in my Coralife fixture on my 120g, and I like the way it looks at night. It's not very bright at all (especially considering the way my vallisneria lays across the top of the water), but I think it just adds something.
I also have a 1watt LED on my 30g reef, and it makes it a little easier to see any little nocturnal creepy-crawlies that show themselves after lights out. LOL
Unless you're going to be able to watch your tank at night, I don't see much use for 'em. (Both of mine are in my bedroom.) I hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies.. I don't think I'll bother. I have a habbit of buying gadgets like these and then leaving them in the cupboard

Another idea to give you a idea on what it might look like would be to get a bankers lamp and buy a blue bulb for it and set it next to the tank and turn off the top lights.
