Help ive got a fish with popeye

My fighter fish has been lazzing around for about a week or so. But when i woke up this morning he had one eye protuding from his head on a large round lump. Ive read about it but i dont know how to cure it please help me and say how to get rid of popeye if you can. Is there also any chance of any of my other fish catching it

Please please help..

Popeye usually dvelopes when having bad water conditons for a long period. Test your nitrite,nitrite and ph, and then wa can help you more. Try frequent water changes for the first aid.

There is also several meds at your LFS that would help.

popeye can also sometimes be caused by lack of oxygen in your tank. popeye is not contageous, it can be treated with MelaFix or pimaFix

i reccomend melafix, ive used it befor and it worked wonders!
