Could not believe my eyes!!

So i know eveyone here has a problem with walmart selling fish and eveything, as do we, but we were at the walmart and went down the fish isle just to check it out. Well in each and every tank, there was about 10-15 common plecos!!!!! no other fish (thank god) but poor plecos!!

Just sharing what i Have seen because I could NOT believe my eyes!!!!!!!!!

yup... nice huh but ya know they are our (I work there) biggest seller....
we sell the most of
plecos
feeder goldfish
$1.88 fantails
guppies
bettas

everything else doesnt sell too well.

i never see anyone buying fish there. i dont ever see anyone around the tanks either!

wow, ive never evern seen anything like that at our walmart here!! i wonder if these suckers are getting any food..

People complain about overstocking tanks at stores. But truth be told if stores stocked tanks to proper levels they would have to charge outragous prices because of the amount of tanks they would have to keep. The fish are only there as a temp home so their long term health is not as much in jepordy as when they get home to peoples tanks under the same stocking conditions.

ive been back there a few times since this day and they still look the same!

They may look the same but the fish in there cycle. People buy some and more come in from their suppliers.
