Default It's been a very gourami day today

I got several new gouramis today; an adult pair of blues, an adult pair of pearls, and a pair of young pearls.

The baby pearls are about 1" long and currently residing in a heavily planted 3gal QT tank. I've heard they are shy and sensitive, so I'm just looking for any words of guidance or advice or words of experience that may help with them.
They aren't too impressed right now with the move, but they seem okay. One of them is missing half his whisker - is that a problem?

Congrats! The "whisker" should grow back without any problem. My male powder blue dwarf had his chewed off by a puffer way back when I was stupid and didn't know any better. He healed up just fine and as we speak, he's in a breeding tank, happily building a very nice nest for his mate. I can't wait til he's done!

Aw that's a nice little story I like happy stories.

I got my two adults from a woman who had 2 blues, 2 golds, 2 pearls, 2 angels and assorted livebearers in a 20gal tank :O but that's why she was getting rid of the gouramis. I kept the pearls and blues but gave the golds to a petstore. Where I found 2 baby pearls. It's like fate.

Congrats, Zoe! I've actually never kept gouramis. By the time I'm 80 I hope to have kept 90% of freshwater and brackish aquatic species kept in the home aquaria - successfully of course.

Make sure to give us some pictures!
