I read in my book that they require to be in groups of 10 or more and can require a 5 gal tank. So that's 2 per gal and this is the book that says bettas should be in a 10 gal. So im not gonna get 8 more but 1-3 more today if they are at my lfs. Any suggestions or info? They get daphnia once a day sun- fri and blood worms on sat and seem happy.

I personally dont like anything smaller than 10 gallons, and I know nothing about bumblebee gobies so I cant say for sure how many you should get. Maybe someone else can help you on this matter.
But tell us more info about what your trying to accomplish so you can get a direct answer, like your desired tank size.
No I have 2 now in my 20 gal on my sig and wanted to know if I need to get more. Because my book says groups of 10 plus in a 5 gal tank min check the thread. And my lfs says any amt is okay and I have 2 and they seem to be doing really well. I was thinking of getting 1-3 more. Do they really belong in brackish water because they seem fine does it really shorten their lifespan significantly?

They are so small and don't move around much that you could probably keep them in a 2.5 gallon tank. I have 10 in a 5-gallon brackish setup. Very finicky eaters. Won't touch flake. Have not been able to get them to breed at all.
