Hey guys, i'm starting a 10 gallon tank and just purchased a filter which is recommended for 10 gal. aquariums. My question are, Should I put together my own filter media rather than using cartridges? and Would adding a small sponge filter along with the power filter be beneficial for my tank?
a filter rated for a 10 gallon tank is not enough filtration for a 10 gallon tank...adding a sponge filter would be a good thing...
using factory media or making up your own is just fine...your choice..
