Default Help with my pond

well I moved to a property with three ponds on it and a small river/creek "matters time of the year" that runs through it. the pond that is in my front yard is a oval shape kinda, about 75ft in length and 40ft wide and about 15ft deep in the center, man made to help control the under water springs from turning the property into a soggy mess.

Now since this is the only pond you can see from my house "about 120ft away" I am trying to pretty it up a bit more, gonna put a bench seat down there and plants some flowers around it. I want to stock the pond with fish but I fear it is not fish ready, it is very murky at the moment so I was hopeing maybe people on here might now how to clear up the water, I do not believe their is fish in there but their is atleast 5 turtles that I have seen in it, the water is such a dirty brown though. I need ideas of how to clear it up and I want to get some plants for it like lillies and whatever else, now their is not always constant water running into these ponds, durring the dry seasons the under water springs barley flow, so do I need to run power to it and get a pond pump to get the water to move around?

Any help would be great, I know this isnt really a pond site but I'm hopeing somebody knows a bit about ponds.

How deep is the pond? Is there any other wild life besides turtles? Like frogs or snakes?

its about 15ft deep in the center and i have not checked for frogs. I'm sure its safe for fish but I want a clean looking pond not a very merky brown pond.

plants will help a lot....floating and submerged..lillies....reeds...and other bog and aquatic plants...once it clears up some you can even get a dye for it so it will look very blue...

You can buy fish friendly chemicals to help clear up the pond. But they only work for a short time. Most of the ponds I've dealt with have some kind of skimmer/ waterfall box that act as a mechanical/ bio filtration system which helps a little. But your pond is pretty big so that would end up costing you a small fortune.
Does the pond have some type of liner? The water may be getting dirty from water run off there fore making it impossible to get a clear pond. A UV sterilizer might work, but then again, those are a little spendy.
One thing I've learned is clear/ clean ponds cost a decent amount of money.
