2 x Albino Tiger Barb (Puntius tetrazona)
3 x Tiger Barb (Puntius tetrazona)
1 x Green Tiger Barb (Puntius tetrazona)
2 x Blue Gourami (Trichogaster trichopterus)
3 x Pictus Catfish (Pimelodus pictus)
1 x Rainbow Shark (Epalzeorhynchos frenatum)
this is my current fish stock in my 50g which has been up for a 2 months now and no deaths all original one of the barbs is pregnant and the pictus are growing at a good rate thankfully no aggression from the gouramis barb or shark. i feed them algae chips tropical crisps, pellets, shrimp pellets for the catfish and live bloodworms once a week the tank is running good cept its cloudy due to the sand so im slowly removing it with each water change i do
I had no problems with my sand, I started the tank up with the sand and it settled about a day later. What type of filter do you have? And what kind of sand? The only time I kick up sand is when I move stuff around but I don't have any problems that last so long. I'm also using play sand in my cichlid tank. Maybe your catfish kick it up a lot and that causes the sand to not settle.

I was gonna say, I have play sand in my tank that's running right now and i don't have a single issue with cloudy water. I got a little dust during a water change, but its gone within 20 mins.
i think it was my filter stiring it up it was playsand im using a aquaclear 110 it was clear until i put the proper ph 7.0 a long time ago so i just decided to change it personally the fish are all doing good im doing a feeding right now
Hmm I'm running 2 filters right now a tetra 30-60 and a marineland penguin bio-wheel 350 both of them together have not kicked up any sand and my water is crystal clear
