Coralline algae

Can coralline algae be harmful to a freshwater setup? i got all of the algae of the glass but coudlnt get it off the overflow not sure if their is another way other then razor blade. The actual corals are dead as the tanks been dry for almost a month. the fish that will be in the tank aren't cichlids they are pictus,barbs,gouramis,botias

Dead coralline eventually just sloughs off by itself, or wipes off easily. It's harmless.
