Default Feeding cucumbers

I feed my fish spirlina, cichlids crumbles, tropical flakes, bring shrimp and peas. I know to use other vegtables and plan on doing so tonight. I have a cucumber and I know some people just throw it in but is it better to boil it to make it soft first or does this take out nutrional content? How do you prepare it?

I just add a weight to it and throw it in. green beans from a can are also great.

Alright well I quartered the cucmber and rubberband it to a tank decor but my fish aren't going after it and believe me they never ever turn down a meal it seems like they aren't seeing it as food.

Wow, cool! I only though that you'll come up with a fix. Cause I think your clowns only go and 'taste' the food and then swim away ha ha. Cause they 'taste' almost anything.
