Default new clown loach

i got a new clown loach and hes active as ever and is dashing and zipping throughout the tank with nonstop energy. Ive had him for a day now and ive only seen him eat 2 tiny flakes of food, he hasnt eaten since and its the end of the 2nd day ive gotten him, is that normal for them to boycott food when they are new? His colors are dark and bright and he has lots of energy.

if you've got a big enough tank for them they should have no problems adjusting to your aquarium, they should be in a group of 3 or more... and they eat mostly shrimp pellets and bloodworms.

Yes, if your feeding them tropical flakes that is going to be a problem. As you probley can tell they scan the bottom for food. Shrimp pellets drop down and they will eat them right up. Also if you don't mind it you could put some snails into the tank clown loaches love eating snails.

what are your water perimeters, they are pretty active but if they are constantly zipping around the tank i would check to make sure the paremeters are ok
