so im not really new to having fish, but im pretty new to the site, a while back i had some gourami problems, one of my gourami's was sick. it ended up being his swim bladder and ne ways i could help him.....but this time its a totally different type of gourami. its a blue gourami, and just tongiht i noticed that he has a big sore on his side. its right behind his gills on the one side and its pinkish and kinda looks like theres blood under the skin. ne ideas of whats it is or how i can fix it??
p.s. in may i got a parrot fish, which are said to be some what agressive, but they have all been getting along so i dont think that he isn being beaten up another thing, are gourami's ALWAYS getting sick? |

1- how long have you had this gourami?
2- what other fish are in the tank besides the parrot? 3- just redness, or an open sore? Any slimyness/cloudiness/fuzziness on the area? |

1- i have had the gourami for longer then the parrot, prolly around 5-6 months
2- other fish are: pleco black angle fish(largest fish in my tank) 2 yellow mollys bleeding heart tetra blue long fin tetra aferican rainbow 2 zebra tetras female beta the gourami the parrot and i have another fish but i completely forget the name of it, but he is is long and skinney black with a white stripe on each side and neon pached behing his gills. 3- its like pinky red, its a little bumpy but it is under the skin, and i guess its kinda fuzzy like his scales are pushed the wrong way |
