Default Death In The Family!!

I just had one of my sunset platy's die and don't really know why.

I just got back from a weekend away and they were all alive and I woke up this morning (Wednesday) and one was dead.

Would this be because of lack of feeding on the weekend??
I may have fed them a little more than usual after getting back as well!

Edit: I've only had the Platy's for about 3 weeks now as well.

Odds are a missed weekend feed schedule is not the problem, though some underlying factor may have been excellerated due to this. A healthy fish can go a week without eating and be fine. I'm guessing the fish was not healthy to begin with. Tank parameters would be of great assistance in helping diagnose the issue that could be affecting more than just your platy.
Tank size
Tank temp
Tank filtration
Nh3
No2
No3
Stocking levels
This info may allow us to get a handle on the situation before more casualties occur.

I don't know a whole lot about the PH levels and STUFF like that but its a 10 gal tank @ 76 degrees. I got/had 3/4 Platy's and 5 neons.

Edit: My bad

yeah theres youngsters here i suggest you learn about water paremeters. they definatly didnt die from not eating over the weekend, they can go about a week without food, some people will argue the point they will last much longer.

You said you had him for about 3 weeks. Has the tank been set up longer than that or is this a new tank? If so your tank may be cycling.

Take Fishfreaks advise and test the levels on the water. The ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite.
