Too expensive in my book. My LFS sells complete setups for $60.00 (Tank, Light, Heater, Airpump, Food, Aquarium salt, net, and Hob filter.)

[b] Will to me thats not a lot of money, and thats a pretty good price. a 5 gal. tank down in Falmouth, MA. costs $47- with just a filter, the top and lights and heater, tank and no stand. No stand is kind of a ripe off to me. When I get 10 gal.tanks I make sure I have a stand because the stand costs more than the tank and etc.
I say go for it. ITs a lot cheaper than a 10 gal. tank set up here. It costs around $80 for a 10 gal. tank setup. My other suggestion is to look in your local newspaper, in classifieds for aquariums for sale, for I got a 30 gallon tank for $70 with everything it had, encluding some extra fish items and a tank. IT also came with5 big fish. IT was a deal. I have seen 100 gal. tanks and more for a reasonable price. |

well that 10 gallon is way too small for your fish to begin with, and imo too expensive for a 10. for 10 bucks more i got a 29g.

this 10 gallon is for my betta. not my other fish, those are already in a 29 gallon. oh ya, it does come with a hood, which has a light. I bought the 29 gallon with a filter, and a freshwater package (net. magazine, food ,etc..) and a hood and light for $119. I just need the 10 gallon for my betta.

still sounds way too expensive to me, you can get the tank itself for 10 bucks, a hood and light for another 10, a filter for about another 10 and anything else u may want or need with the other 20 bucks

I thought you were TALKING about WalMart, and thinking their price went up a bit. LOL!
The WalMart 10 gallon kits are really pretty good despite their reputation. |

All of their kits are ok. I think the 55 gallon is lacking in the filtration area but its not a bad filter. I just perfer canisters for 55 and up. (Who am I kidding. I perfer canisters on all tanks! lol)

I have a 55 from walmart and the only thing I changed was the filter. I have had it for a couple years and moved with it once. Its holding up nicely.
