why do frontosa cost so much at the pet shops verus other chichlid? jw

1.they're pretty. Blue ones are even better.
2.they're are generally peaceful.
3.they're hardy.
4.they grow larger then most africans.
5.It takes long time for them to reach Sexual mature age.
6.Recognize their owner.

Fronts are also way harder to find than O's. I mean, when's the last time you saw a frontosa at Walmart?

I don't know about other cichlids... but I've heard that Frontosa can come and greet his/her owner it sounds pretty good. Do other cichlids do as well?

Almost all cichlid do. When frontosa spawn, they only get about 20-50 babies(mouth brood) comparing to oscar which spawns 500-1000 babies(eggs). Oscars has to be cheaper. The problem with oscars is that they constantly digs and uproot plant that makes a huge mess plus some are quite aggressive, frontosa dont. They are the discus of africa.
