Tiger & Rosy Barbs?

In most cases, I believe tiger & rosy barbs would be compatible (please correct me if I'm wrong). What about long finned rosy barbs? Are they aggressive enough to stand up to the shenanigans of the tiger barbs...our would their long, flowing fins just be too irresistible to the tigers?

Does anybody have experience with this combination?

unfortunately the tigers would defin the long fin rosies...regulars would be fine though...i used to breed rosies...beautiful fish...

I love rosies, and like the many new variants on them that we see these days, but yes, tigers will shred them. Pity.

I have Rosy Barbs with some Black Ruby Barbs and they are doing fine. I agree that Tigers may be too aggressive for Rosy's.

i was just thinking about making black ruby barbs my next breeding project....lovely fish...almost as pretty as my odessa barbs.

Good luck with those! We need more Ruby barbs in the world.

By the way, how many Odessas do you have these days? I'm thinking of getting some soon, but they sure are hard to find.
